HERE YOU HAVE IT– the healthier Halloween candy option! 4 main ingredients & super simple to make! 

The perfect treat to bring along with you to that Halloween party but in reality, they are PERFECT for anytime 😉 

Ingredients: 

  • 7-9 pitted medjoll dates (depending on size, if you have 7 big ones, stick with 7) 
  • 2 heaping TBSP creamy peanut butter 
  • 1/2 cup coconut flour 
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips + 1 TBSP coconut oil for melting 
  • Sprinkles (optional)

Directions

1. Soak your dates in water for 10-15 minutes prior so that they are soft and easy to blend. 

2. Remove dates from water and add to a high speed blender or food processor. Blend well. 

3. Add your peanut butter and coconut flour and blend until a thick consistency is formed and you can scoop dough out with your hands. 

4. Roll dough into small balls (around 1 TBSP of batter should be used for each truffle). 

5. Melt your chocolate by adding 1/2 cup of chocolate chips and 1 TBSP coconut oil to a microwave safe bowl. Microwave in 20 second increments, stirring in between until chocolate is completely melted. 

6. Carefully dip each truffle into the chocolate until it is entirely covered and set to the side. 

7. If you desire to top with sprinkles, add those on immediately once removing truffle from the chocolate. 

8. Let truffles sit and chocolate harden for 30 minutes-1 hour & ENJOY!
