Chocolate Protein Waffles


What’s better than a delicious stack of waffles with some whipped cream for breakfast? Best part about these waffles is they are HEALTHY, PROTEIN FILLED, GOOD-FOR-YOU—waffles! 

I am all about mixing up my food and creating new recipes that I can add into my everyday routine. These waffles can be versatile and you can mix them up to create different flavors, the recipe will yield 8 so you can use them as breakfast prep for a few days and they can be turned into pancakes if you do not have a waffle press! 

Ingredients: 

· 1 and ½ cup whole wheat flour 

· 1 and ½ cup almond/coconut milk 

· 1 scoop chocolate idealshake (or any protein powder) 

· 1 and ½ tsp baking soda 

· 1 tsp ground cinnamon 

· 1 TBSP cocoa powder 

· 1 TBSP melted coconut oil 

· Whipped cream for topping—THIS IS NOT OPTIONAL! 

Directions: 

1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. 

2. Heat your waffle iron. Once heated pour two TBSP worth of batter onto waffle iron and cook for 2-4 minutes. 

          * If you do not have a waffle iron, make these as pancakes using a skillet/pan stove top. 

3. ENJOY
